BOUTIQUE MEASURING SCOOP

MATERIALS NEEDED:
1 piece juniper (or material of choice) for scoop body
1 piece juniper (or material of choice) for scoop handle
1 length of 20 ga. Sterling silver wire (or wire of choice)
Two-part, 5 minute epoxy
Shellawax, or finish of choice

TOOLS NEEDED:
Lathe w/ 2 drive centers
4-jawed chuck
Drill chuck
Roughing gouge
Skew
Bandsaw
Forstner bit (optional)
Depth gauge
Spindle sander (optional)

1-1/2" x 7" piece of walnut
Lacquer sanding sealer
Lacquer thinner
Spray lacquer or finish of choice

Chuck or faceplate
Small hollowing tools
Small eyehook
Small drill bit
Vernier (not plastic) or small spring calipers
Calipers for measuring wall thickness. (These can be either shop-made from wire or you can purchase a set made by Sorby from most turning supply houses.)
